And Sculptural Vintage Bathroom Design With Pipes Cooper All Over It
This project is a renovation of a room bathroom on the top floor of a house from the late 19th century located near Amsterdam. The ancient 100 years old clawfootbath enamel cast iron and original wooden doors are the only remaining elements of the existing bathroom. Even if the bathroom has become contemporary with all functions as it does not become sterile as many other modern bathrooms. Nature experiences formed the inspiration: the characteristics of the water, the interplay of light and shade, frost and rot, taking into account the aging of space and materials. existing materials in the house are continuing in space: terrazzo and plaster ceilings while the original wooden doors are painted gloss black to give them new life
Ceramic tiles with an embossed floral up the walls .. Like the rest of wrought copper, they age over time by taking a greenish tint. There is no traditional fittings in the bathroom. They are all made from copper pipes and here have very unusual shapes. These pipes will also change their appearance with age
